Knoxville Museum of Art Field Trip and Co-op

To celebrate National Artist Appreciation Month I have scheduled a fun field trip to the Knoxville Museum of Art! The cost is free. It will began promptly at 10 am. We will arrive and break into 2 groups. Group A will consist of K – 2nd grade students, and Group B will consist of 3rd – 5th grade students. Each tour is designed for the specific age requested. The tour will last 1 hour. I have reserved up to 15 students per each group. Cost free. Please comment below if your interested in attending. I will need number of students attending and their projected fall semester grade level. This is a first come first serve sign-up! Thanks! This will also serve as our Art Co-op Class Kick-off! I have planned tours, Meet the Masters Classes, and a Art Major for our teacher! The price for the co-op is in the works! This Co-op will require full payment by April informational meeting. This trip is open as a one-time experince as well!

American Museum of Science & Energy MUSE Science Co-op Kick-off Field Trip

To help pump up all our sweet little students for our new MUSE Science Co-op I have planned a fun field trip!! Students will promptly begin with two classroom programs; Atoms & Atom Smashers, Mr. Stuffy (Anatomy)! Then 3rd – 5th have scavenger hunt on the History of Science! Students will have ample free time to explore the entire museum!! We have an area reserved for lunches so bring a sack lunch!! Grades k – 5th. Cost $2 per student, $3 per adult. Reserved for 20. MUSE Science Co-op 2016/2017

Science co-op at the MUSE, plus the Planetarium and free time exploring the exhibits! We will meet the first Thursday monthly, August – May. Grades will include k – 5th. Reserved for 20. The cost will be tentatively $4.50 per student.  If you have a pass the adult fee is also waved for non participating siblings and adults. (Could rise slightly after summer.) Lunch area is available so pack a sack lunch! Please comment below if you are interested in attending. This is a first come first serve sign-up. Lawson McGhee Library Tour and Class Field Trip and Project

To celebrate back to school I planned a fun THREE part field trip and project! The first part includes a tour, presentation and story time of the library and how to use it! The second part allows the students to come and work on an age appropriate project using the skills they learned! I allowed a good 2 weeks in between the 2nd and 3rd trip to give the students plenty of time to complete their projects! The final trip includes a trip to the meeting room open to parents, grandparents and friends to come and admire the students projects! This will allow students to show off what they have learned about the library as well as their project they worked hard on!

Beginning in September through May we will continue a library/literacy series of co-op classes continuing to build on  the students  skills.  Theses classes will be the first Monday of each month at 9:30 am.

Mcclung Museum Of Natural History & Culture Field Trip

To celebrate Thanksgiving I planned a fun field trip! Students will begin promptly Tuesday morning with a presentation and guided tour of the Native American Exhibit. Following the tour they will enjoy some fun hands-on activities! Grades k – 5th. Cost free. Reserved for 20 students. (There is a chance we might be broken into age appropriate groups.) William Blount Mansion & James White Fort Field Trip

To celebrate history with Thanksgiving this month I planned a fun field trip! This a unique filed trip since we will visit multiple sites! Students will start at William Blount Mansion promptly Tuesday morning with a presentation and tour of the home and visitor center. Then we will break for a lunch close by so pack a sack lunch!! Flowing lunch students will promptly end at James White Fort with a presentation and tour of the fort. Grades k – 5th. Cost $6 per student. Adults are $7.50. Reserved for 20 students. East Tennessee Historical Society Field Trip

To celebrate Thanksgiving I have planned a fun field trip! Promptly Tuesday morning students will be split into 2 groups. Group A grades k – 3rd, which will include a guided tour, presentation and hands-on activity “Discovery Boxes”. Group B grades 4th – 5th, which will include a guided tour, presentation and hands-on activity “Objects Over Time”. Cost $3 per a student. Adults $4. Each driving adult is free. The Fruit & Berry Patch Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

To celebrate Fall Fun and Halloween I have planned a fun field trip! Promptly Friday morning student will start with a ghayride up to the pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin. Then they will continue their hayride to the corn maze. Following the fun each student will receive a pumpkin coloring book and cup with a drink! Then at the picnic tables students will be able to decorate their pumpkins. They can carve, paint or use themed stickers! I have reserved the picnic tables for lunch so make sure to bring a sack lunch! Grades k – 5th. The cost is $9 per a student. Parents and non participating siblings are free. Safety City Field Trip

To celebrate National Fire Safety Month I have planned a fun field trip! Students wil begin safety classes promptly Tuesday morning. Some classes will include fire and traffic safety. Pack a sack lunch for in between classes. Grade 2nd (ages 7, 8, 9). Cost is free. Chaperones are limited to the facilitator and only 3 more chaperons. Knox County Police Department Field Trip

To celebrate National Fire Safety Month I have planned a fun field trip! This filed trip is unique in that it has been split into 2 sessions; 9 -11am and 1- 3pm. Students will begin promptly Tuesday according to the session they are attending. We will begin with a presentsion and question session in the conference room with officer Watson. Then students will have the opportunity to explore the museum filled with the history of the Knoxville Police Department. It will include badges, weapons, police memorial, and also a jail cell (they can choose to be locked inside). They will end with a tour of a patrol car. Grades k – 5th. Cost is free.
